Mrs. Judy Moye

Upper School Math Teacher

In the words of her students, Mrs. Moye cares deeply about every single person who walks through her door. They describe her as compassionate and considerate of their thoughts and opinions.

Finishing her 22 year of teaching at Westchester, Moye is a recipient of the T. Austin Finch Master Teacher Award. This honor recognizes teachers who show an interest in and enthusiasm for professional growth, outstanding performance and committed involvement to Westchester.

Moye received a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University and her Master of Education from Averett University. She teaches mathematics in the Upper School, including AP Calculus and other courses that are typically the final preparation for her students’ next step into university courses.

Moye and other long-time Westchester teachers who have received this award are committed to creating a learning environment that promotes high levels of learning, while respecting the diversity of our students. 

“Ms. Moye is not only a delicate and professional mentor, but an understanding and warm-hearted ‘mother-in-the-classroom,’” wrote one student who nominated her for the award. “She focuses on not only the student's academic success, but also her students' growth as well-rounded individuals.”
