Helping prevent the spread of COVID-19
August 24th 2020
As our broader community responds to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, Westchester has taken a number of steps to support the health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, families, and campus visitors. Here are just a few of the ways we are helping keep our school community safe:
Encouraging all students, faculty, staff and visitors to follow our Healthy Wildcat Ways:
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer
- Cover your nose and mouth with a mask (Everyone required to wear face covering on campus)
- Distance yourself from others when possible
- Stay at home when you are sick.
Facilities & Cleaning:
- Setting classroom desks 6 feet apart to maintain distancing.
- Applying floor markings and signage throughout campus to encourage 6-foot distancing and maintain one-way traffic flow at hallways and sidewalks.
- Applying a specialized disinfectant called IsoKlean throughout campus.
- Improving indoor air quality by installing MERV 13 air filters throughout campus along with an iWave ion generating air purification system in the new Wilson Student Center.
- Requiring a health screening form and temperature check of all individuals coming to campus.
