Support Westchester's Blue and White Gala Auction This Weekend
Westchester Country Day School's 37th annual auction, The Blue and White Gala is underway this weekend, and for the first time, this event is virtual.
This is Westchester's largest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds go to providing classroom resources for students and teachers and the incredible learning opportunities offered at Westchester each day. In 2019, the gala raised more than $287,000, of which $108,800 was for Chuck's Fund.
Thanks to our generous donors, almost 200 items from a price range of $15 to priceless are available.

Chuck's Fund
There will be a virtual “paddle raise” for Chuck’s Fund during the live program. This fund is named in honor of Chuck Hamblet, beloved Head of School from 2006 to 2009. Gifts to Chuck's Fund create a resource to address needs for which there is no budgeted funding.
Last year was a record-breaking year for Chuck’s Fund and those funds were vital in helping us reopen in person for the 2020-2021 school year despite the additional expenses due to COVID-19. They also helped provide for additional professional development and technology resources for the end of the 2019-2020 school year when WCDS held classes virtually in response to the statewide lockdown for the pandemic.
50/50 Raffle Tickets
50/50 raffle tickets will be available throughout the weekend until Monday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. The winner will be drawn and announced on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Tickets can be purchased online and the winner will take home 50% of all raffle ticket proceeds. Last year’s winner took home just under $7,000. If you prefer to pay with check or cash, money must be received by the Development Office by 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, in order for your ticket(s) to be entered in the drawing.
