Cross Country Team Races to Top Finishes in State Championship

The Varsity Cross Country team finished the 2021 fall season with top finishes in the NCISAA 2A State Championship, held at Olsen Park in Wilmington on Oct. 29.
Eleventh grader Cruz Hesling became the second Varsity Boys team member to win an individual state championship in school history.
Eleventh grader Ali Schwartz finished third in the Varsity Girls race, senior Grace Evans finished 11th, and both earned All-State honors. They led the Wildcat girls to earning second place as a team. This is their fourth consecutive year finishing as the runner-up.
