Fall Athletic Season Recap
It certainly was nice to have a normal gameday atmosphere once again for our athletic teams this fall! Westchester thanks all of the great fans who supported the Cats in person and over streaming. It was great to see so much school spirit!
Our student-athletes, parents and boosters received compliments throughout the season in regards to sportsmanship, class and hospitality. It certainly was a great fall to be a Wildcat, and I can’t thank all of our volunteers enough for helping host so many fun games at WCDS.
All of our varsity teams competed in the NCISAA State Tournaments. The Varsity Girls Cross Country team, led by Coach Tim Anderson, secured its fourth straight State Runner-up finish at the 2A NCISAA State Championship at Olsen Park in Wilmington, while Cruz Hesling became the second male athlete in school history to win an individual state cross country championship.
The Varsity Boys Soccer team won two games in the state tournament before losing to Wayne Country Day School in the state quarterfinals in Goldsboro. The Varsity Girls Golf team continued to gain experience and sent Madi Dial to play at the NCISAA State Championship at Bryan Park in Greensboro. The Varsity Girls Volleyball and Varsity Girls Tennis improved throughout their competitive seasons and gained great experience competing in the state tournament. At the Middle School level, the Wildcats proved why the future looks so bright!

I especially want to invite you to the basketball games we will play at High Point University's Qubein Center on Friday, Dec. 3.
