WCDS Offers Summer College Application Workshop
Westchester Country Day School will host a College Application Workshop this summer for rising high school seniors to get a head start on college admissions.
The program is open to students from public, private, charter or home schools across the Triad. It will be held June 12-15, 9-11:30 a.m. on the WCDS campus at 2045 N. Old Greensboro Road, High Point.

Raegan Atkinson, director of college guidance at WCDS since 2014, will lead the workshop. She says rising seniors often find it challenging and stressful to get organized and start their college applications, and she wants to help make the first steps easier for more seniors.
"Students at Westchester get a personalized college admissions counseling experience that begins as early as ninth grade and continues through the senior year as we walk hand-in-hand through each of the steps of researching, applying, waiting and enrolling," said Atkinson. "We want to offer more high school seniors the chance to get a jump start on success through this session. I will work with participants to provide information and advice about the application process and point them to resources to help as they continue their journey."
Since Westchester already offers personal college guidance to its Upper School students, WCDS students do not need to register for this workshop but are encouraged to share the opportunity with friends.
The College Application Workshop is a part of the WCDS Summer Cat Camps, a variety of summer programs for students in grades PK-12. Learn more about summer programs, including dates and camp descriptions, on the WCDS website.
