WCDS Announces the Cast of The Velveteen Rabbit

Westchester Country Day School will present "The Velveteen Rabbit" as this year's Upper School production.

Performances will be March 1-3, with shows at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday in Rives Hall on the school campus (2045 N. Old Greensboro Road, High Point).

The cast includes students in grades 9-12 and is as follows:

"The Velveteen Rabbit," by Phil Grecian is based on the book by Margery Williams. More than anything, The Velveteen Rabbit wants to be a real rabbit. One night, the Toy Fairy offers him his chance, but he must leave with her immediately. The boy, who is ill with scarlet fever, will die without him. Will the Velveteen Rabbit go with the Toy Fairy, or will his love for the boy cause him to turn his back on the thing he wants most? If he stays, what will happen to him? This beloved tale provides audiences of all ages with comedy, pathos, adventure and a final triumph for the hero, who learns that love makes all things real.
