Field Trip Middle School

We’re off to the start of an exciting school year. The enthusiasm for being together is palpable in our middle school Wildcats, who are cherishing simple choices like where to sit in the lunchroom and having a moment to chat with a friend while walking to class.

Just as we got used to school life, we were propelled into an adventure on our annual class trips. These trips for grades 6-12 are a special component of the Westchester experience. Students and faculty members participate in a variety of enrichment activities for several days. By spending some time in a different setting, whether it is a camp, college campus, or the forest, these trips build self-confidence, inspire gratitude and strengthen interpersonal relationships among students as well as faculty.

Middle School trip to Victory Mountain Camp

This year the entire Middle School went to Victory Mountain Camp together and enjoyed team building, zip-lining, Bazooka Ball, and more. Students and teachers realized quickly how much we enjoy unstructured playtime with large groups of friends and classmates. New students acclimated quickly, while all students recognized new talents in their teachers.

  • Did you know how skillfully Mrs. Van Dessel and Mr. Morelli can construct the perfect s’more?
  • Did you know Mr. Hughes is an expert at GaGa Ball?
  • Did you know Mrs. Keever can play Bazooka Ball?
  • Did you know Mr. Patterson and Ms. Noyes can rock a zip-line?

Middle School trip faculty

We do now! Thank you, parents, for sharing your children with us for a few days. These trips are just one of the many ways the student experience is unique at Westchester.
