WCDS Presents Disney's The Aristocats Kids
Westchester Country Day School presents the K-8 spring musical production of "Disney's The Aristocats Kids."
Evening performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, and a matinee performance will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, in Rives Hall on the campus at 2045 N. Old Greensboro Road, High Point.
General admission tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door. Seating is assigned by the school on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cast features more than 50 WCDS students from grades K-8. All costumes, sets and production are provided by students, faculty and parents of WCDS.
The musical is based on the 1970 Disney film, "The Aristocats." Music and lyrics for the show are by Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman, Al Rinker and Floyd Huddleston. Music is adapted and arranged and additional music and lyrics are by Bryan Louiselle. The book is adapted and additional lyrics are by Michael Bernard.
In "Disney’s The Aristocats Kids," Madame's jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. Luckily, Thomas O'Malley and his rag-tag bunch of alley cats come to their rescue!
