Humility Is the Character Word for April
Westchester Country Day School’s character word for the month of April is HUMILITY -- putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve. The character word is emphasized by the color brown kraft paper and the animal house sparrow.
Students will be learning what it means to have HUMILITY during Community Meetings and classroom guidance lessons throughout the month. Westchester follows the Core Essential Values character education program, which helps teach students to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize their potential through a focus on a monthly character trait. This is a part of the school’s mission to support students in pursuing moral excellence.
