Courage Is the Character Word for November
Westchester Country Day School’s character word for the month of November is COURAGE -- being brave enough to do what you should, even when you’re afraid. The character word is emphasized by the animal mongoose and the color red.
Students will be learning what it means to have COURAGE during Community Meetings and classroom guidance lessons throughout the month. Westchester follows the Core Essential Values character education program, which helps teach students to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize their potential through a focus on a monthly character trait. This is a part of the school’s mission to support students in pursuing moral excellence.
