Knowledge is the Character Word for January
Westchester Country Day School’s character word for the month of January is KNOWLEDGE -- learning something new so you can be better at whatever you do. The character word is emphasized by the color yellow and the animal polar bear.
Students will be learning what it means to have KNOWLEDGE during Community Meetings and classroom guidance lessons throughout the month. Westchester follows the Core Essential Values character education program, which helps teach students to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize their potential through a focus on a monthly character trait. This is a part of the school’s mission to support students in pursuing moral excellence.
