Eric McNamara was inducted into the Westchester Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. He was a standout scholar and swimmer at WCDS. He was a charter member of the school’s swim team in 1998. He earned state champion titles in the 200 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 400 Freestyle Relay during his career with WCDS. His team earned state titles in 2002 and 2003, and was the state runner-up in 2000 and 2001. He was named team MVP five years in a row and received TAC Academic All-Conference honors in 2002 and 2003.

McNamara was also a member of the Varsity Cross Country team from 1999-2002, and received the Wildcat Award in 2003. He continued his swimming career at James Madison University.
