After graduating from Westchester in 1980, Bill went to UNC-Chapel Hill, earning a BS in Industrial Relations. After college he returned to High Point to work for his family’s hosiery business. During this time, Bill volunteered in the Youth Department at Wesley Memorial, where he received a calling to become a full-time Pastor to Students. After serving as Youth Pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Gulfport, MS, and Director of Student Ministries at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Conyers, GA, Bill returned to Wesley Memorial as the Director of Student Ministries. During this time, he also served on the High Point Museum Board of Directors.

At the beginning of 2010, Coble moved to Kenya He founded Start With One International, Inc. here in the U.S. as a not-for-profit corporation, and Start With One Kenya, a non-governmental organization operating in Kenya. Start With One Kenya works in the areas of clean water, micro-finance, education, and health care. The organization has provided a clean water well to a community of over 10, 000 and over 62,000 people have clean water for the rest of their lives just by utilizing the clean water filters that Start With One Kenya provides. Children are being sponsored in school to receive education that can help break the cycle of poverty. Micro loans are starting businesses for women and pastors that also break the cycle of poverty. And, Start with One sponsors quarterly medical camps for refugees and hosts medical teams from the U.S., aiding in the health care of these communities.
