Ryeong Choi was inducted into the Westchester Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021. He was a member of the Westchester soccer team during the 2011-2014 seasons. During that time, he was named soccer MVP (2013, 2014), Male Athlete of the Year (2015), and Conference Player of the Year (2014). He earned All-Conference (2012, 2013, 2014), NCISAA All-State (2013, 2014), NCSCA All-Region (2014), Triad All-Area (2014), and Academic All-Conference (2013, 2014) honors. After graduating from WCDS in 2015, he attended High Point University on scholarship, where he played Division I soccer from 2015 to 2018. He was a Panther Award recipient in 2017 and a recipient of the Millis Scholar Athlete Award in 2016, 2017 and 2018. His team won the Big South Regular Season Championship in 2017 and 2018 and was the first to make it to the NCAA Division I Tournament. His professional career includes playing for the Greenville Triumph in 2019 (USL Finalist). In 2020, he served as an assistant coach for WCDS. He is currently pursuing a personal training and sports nutrition certificate while conditioning to continue his professional career.
