Everett Padgett devoted almost 40 years of service to Westchester, as a teacher, parent, board member and more. Padgett was a member of the Westchester faculty from 1971 to 1979 as Latin teacher, Director of Studies and Dean of Students. After leaving the teaching profession to pursue a career in insurance, Padgett continued to serve the school in a variety of capacities. He was president of the Booster Club 1988-1990, member of the Board of Trustees 1988-1995 and 2002-2008, and served on the Headmaster Search Committee. He has also served as Westchester historian for many years.
In the community, Padgett was Triad Rotary Club President in 1986-87, a charter member of the Willow Creek Rotary Club and Rotary District Governor 1991-92. He has won numerous Rotary awards, including Golden Century Citation, Past District Governor Citation, Paul Harris Fellow, Charter Member Foundation Bequest Society, and the Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service. In 2002, he received Rotary’s highest award, the Service Above Self Award.
